Born on January 21st, 1982 in Chunburi Thailand a singer/model/host, Yan Linda was only 4 months old at the time they migrated to Australia. Although the family lived abroad her parents taught her to never forget where she was from and always reminded her of her Cambodian heritage... Be kind, nice and never expect anything in return.
Linda’s passion for entertainment started when she was 10 years old, she loved listening to old Khmer songs by Sin Sysamouth, Rous Sereysothea, Meng Keo Pichenda, Touch Srey Nich, Him Sivorn and many more famous Cambodian and American singers. Linda cannot read Khmer but because she wanted to sing in Khmer she used Khmer/English to help her with memorizing the lyrics. She was discovered in Australia by a local Cambodian band when she was 14 years old and she had performed at many events. Linda received an award in 1998 from a prestigious singing school in Australia, however life took Linda on a different path for several years not long after she received the award.
Linda put her career on hold to focus on her family for a while, which is when she gave birth to her beautiful daughter Veronica born in 2001. Veronica is also very passionate about music and hopes to one day become a musical inspiration in the footsteps of her mother.
Linda’s first tour as a singer was in The United States of America 2007-2008. After this tour she joined Rasmey Reymeas, a popular overseas Karaoke production with a variety of old and new songs along with many other music productions, such as 4U, VIP, Ponleu Neakhoss and Ankor Amatak. Her music career flourished leading Linda to continue to Tour many other countries like France, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Holland and New Zealand.
In 2010 Linda joined Cambodian super models through introduction by Paradise Tailor and Rasmey Thearika. In 2011, 2012, 2014 Linda Toured Australia with Cambodian Super Models showcasing Cambodia’s finest silks, unique traditional ensembles with a modern twist, carefully designed by Paradise Tailor.
Linda’s versatility allowed her career to branch out, her first hosting debut was at the biggest awards event ‘Anajak Dara Cambodia’. With Linda’s hosting career taking off she was able to interact with international stars from Thailand, Singapore and The Philippines. Not long after she was assigned to host her own show, called ‘Travel With Me’ for MyTV and CTN, She made special appearances on renowned TV stations and Television programs such as ‘The Voice Cambodia’ and ‘Minute To Win It’ performed and hosted at countless high profile events and concerts also Linda has since, been gracing many covers of popular magazines.
Linda now is the owner of L&V Boutique and L&V online retail Women's wear, Men's wear handbags, fashion accessories, shoes and cosmetics. Her dream is to write and record original songs, produce movies and especially to support charitable organizations both inside and outside of Cambodia.
Throughout her Career she admits that it hasn’t been easy and has endured the toughest situations, but with great determination and persistence Linda has been able to withstand all obstacles thrown her way.
Linda would like to say thank you to her family and friends who have been a huge support in what she does, especially her fans that has brought her to where she is today. Once again, thank you so much for your support!
